I was born in Long Island NY but lived most of my life in the mountains of Pennsylvania. I moved to the Myrtle Beach area (Pawleys Island) in 2004. My wife and youngest son love it here with the tropical climate, the beach and fresh salt air.

Upon graduating from Catawba College in Salisbury, NC with a degree in mathematics, I began what I presumed would be a lifelong career as a high school math teacher in the Anne Arundel County, MD public school system. Dismayed by years of observing the deterioration of the type of discipline that is necessary to provide a quality education to our children, I decided it was time to move on.
I began what was to become a very successful home sales career in the Baltimore, Washington, and Annapolis, MD market in 1991. Part of my success was due to the fact that I applied my teaching skills to selling homes. My business philosophy is simply this. If I educate my buyers throughout the entire home purchase process, that will enable them to make intelligent decisions thus eliminating the need for any sales pressure from me. It is a style that has enabled me to have a pleasant and comfortable relationship with my buyers.
My wife, Kathy, and I moved to Pawleys Island, SC in 2004 and upon transferring my real estate license from Maryland, I teamed up with Dan Koenig and began selling homes in the coastal areas covering Pawleys Island to Myrtle Beach. We eventually realized that Dan's skill and expertise was best applied to the listing side of the business and mine was with the purchase side. You will be hard pressed to find a Realtor who does a better job of listing and marketing a home than Dan.
